Johnathon joined Childress Ahlheim Cary LLC in 2023. After graduating from St. Louis University School of Law in 2002, Johnathon immediately moved to Florida and spent 10 years practicing in the Tampa Bay area. In 2012 he moved back to St. Louis to be closer to family. Throughout his 20+ years as an attorney, Johnathon has focused on defending individuals and insurance carriers both in private practice and as in-house counsel. During that time, Johnathon has handled nearly 40 jury trials, and has tried cases in Florida, Missouri and Illinois state courts, and in Federal court. Johnathon has used this experience to teach several trial advocacy courses across the country, focusing on using technology in the courtroom.

While Johnathon’s practice has run the gamut from small claims cases over minimal property damage, to catastrophic brain injury and wrongful death claims, over the past 10 years Johnathon has specialized in large-loss, complex litigation, taking on the “ugly” cases that are more likely to wind up in front of a jury.

Johnathon is a father to three teenagers, a cat, and a Great Pyrenees. In his spare time, Johnathon is an aspiring author. He’s finished one novel, written and illustrated three children’s books, and expects to have three more novels completed in the next year.
